psychologist, Expressive Arts Therapist, LMFT #98152
I earned my Master`s degree in Psychology at Eotvos Lorand University in 2004 and after a few years working as a school psychologist I moved to California and received my second Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Expressive Arts Therapy from California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco in 2011. The following years as a marriage and family therapist intern I had opportunities to gain valuable professional experience working with wide range of issues and a diverse population of clients. I provided counseling services at middle and high schools, saw people regarding issues of grief and loss and worked at a crisis line providing services for callers struggling with anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts. My professional interest turned toward trauma and trauma informed therapy after I started working with abused women at a shelter and run art therapy groups at a county jail. I completed the basic EMDR training for trauma processing in 2016 and sought out opportunities to deepen my knowledge and professional toolkit regarding other integral approaches such as somatic methods and Internal Family Systems. Currently I hold a Marriage and Family Therapist license in California.
We are the best experts on ourselves. I want to honor your expertise by starting where you are at and offering my support in the process of discovering and tapping into your inner resources, recognizing your needs and seeing yourself and the problematic situation from a different perspective. Past events, losses, hurtful interactions can not be erased, but due to a new perspective, a different story can emerge giving those events a new meaning.
I am offering counseling services to adults and adolescents dealing with adjustment problems, difficult life transitions, losses, trauma and emotional or physical abuse.
